These school home connections can be powerful, effective tools that make your life easier. Each has it's specific niche. After spending time working with teacher, trying the tools out, and speaking with users, this breakdown might assist.
School communication:
Class Dojo and Remind both connect you with your school for free. It is easy to add other teachers to your class. In Class Dojo, administrators and teachers can post to the whole school to send out updates, announcements, links to newsletters, and event pictures. This is shown in the School Story. Remind for Schools is a paid service that allows for school level statistics and reports as well as the ability to send communication to the school. Seesaw has a cost for the Pro account which allows for the reports and communication to full school. Remind allow parents using a TracFone (that is not a smartphone) to receive the messages via text instead of through the app or email. Class Dojo and Seesaw work only on a smartphone through the app or email.

A teacher can add a co-teacher, OT, speech teacher and other specialist to their class. This allows these teachers to easily send updates to the class or to individual parents. Remind and Class Dojo allow you to add additional teachers. Seesaw allows just for one teacher on the free account.
Classroom behavior system:
Class Dojo has a built in behavior system with point and student monster icons. Teachers may choose to display to their class or show students privately. Teachers don't need to use the management component. It is used heavily in elementary and middle school grades. Remind and Seesaw don't have a behavior system.
Class Dojo just started a very limited portfolio called student story. From an ipad, students can post a picture or video (recording it, not from camera roll.) If Student portfolio is the main focus, Seesaw is the strongest option.
Student Portfolio:
Seesaw's focus is a student portfolio with a parent connection. Students can post pictures, documents, audio, and video their account.
